The Mod Pipe Lights Cactus Floor Lamp design is inspired by the south western American Cactus. The lamp is built using black pipe and uses energy saving LED light bulbs.
The power to the lamp is controlled by a dimmable on/off switch built into the retro cloth lamp cord.
Design Hack 1: Create a cactus cluster by daisy changing multiple cactus floor and table lamps together. You can also get a cluster affect by purchasing the table and floor lamps. Clustering the lamps makes a great focal point for a corner or along a wall, especially with cactus themed wall art behind them. Such as a black and white photograph and fine art.
Design Hack 2: Turn the lamps smart by plugging them into a smart outlet. You can set the time of day to turn them on and off and control the intensity of the light with the dimmable LED light bulbs.
Light bulbs: ONLY USE LED BULBS with this lamp. A typical LED light bulb uses 9 watts of energy compared to traditional 60 watt incandescent light bulbs, which are bad for the environment, as they consume too much energy and produce too much heat. DO NOT use incandescent bulbs.
